About

We started LightCove because we were tired of two things: overhead lighting and lamps that look like they came from the same factory as everything else.

LightCove is a small, intentional lighting studio based in Canada. We source sculptural, warm-glow lamps from independent makers and small-batch workshops — pieces made with rice paper, hand-turned wood, woven bamboo, and natural stone textures. Materials that age well and look better with time.

Every piece in our collection is chosen for the same reason: it changes the way a room feels. Not with brightness, but with warmth. Not with complexity, but with form.

What We Believe

• Warm light over bright light. Overhead LEDs have their place. It's not your living room at 9 PM.
• Materials matter. Wood, paper, bamboo, stone — things you can feel with your hands, not just your eyes.
• Less is more. One good lamp replaces three bad ones. We'd rather sell you one piece you keep for years than five you forget about.
